Data Governance Lead
Stellarmann is seeking a Data Governance Lead who will be accountable for leading and coordinating firm-wide data governance activities. This individual will be responsible for improving the management of data and information assets, making data more user-friendly, findable, and intuitively presented to drive value across the business.
Key Requirements:
This contract will run for 12 months initially, and is paying competitve rate - Outside IR35. The position offers hybrid working and contractually requires 2 days per week in office in London (3 when needed)

Stellarmann is seeking a Data Governance Lead who will be accountable for leading and coordinating firm-wide data governance activities. This individual will be responsible for improving the management of data and information assets, making data more user-friendly, findable, and intuitively presented to drive value across the business.
Key Requirements:
- A self-starter, keen to take ownership of the role and shape its development
- Outward-facing and recognised subject matter expert (SME), with exceptional influencing and leadership skills
- Business-led mindset, focused on transforming data into a firm-wide asset to drive innovation and business growth
- Confident in presenting to C-suite stakeholders
- Experience in a similar capacity within large, international organisations
- Ability to support the development of the data governance function, define domain scope, and partner with Data Owners and Data Stewards
- Experience creating or developing a Data Governance Framework (including roles, responsibilities, and structures)
- DMBOK knowledge – nice to have
- Previous involvement in Data Councils
- Strong understanding of data governance practices, as well as business and technology issues related to managing enterprise information
- Business Glossary, Meta data, Data Quality, Protection, Lineage. Catalogue – Purview, Collibra etc
- Good overall data technology landscape understanding – Azure Data Platforms is ideal
