Giving Back

How we do our bit

At William Alexander, we believe that our business activities should have a net positive impact. That's why giving back is one of the central pillars of our corporate social responsibility (CSR) and business strategy, and sees us taking steps to minimise our environmental impact and support local charities with donations of money, time and expertise.

As a recruitment company, we are especially passionate about giving people who haven’t had the best start in life, a leg up the career ladder through opening up access to skills training.

Charitable donations

We donate a percentage of our profits each year to charities that provide skills training and employment opportunities to people from disadvantaged communities in our home county of Sussex.

Our funding of £90,087 to date has helped initiatives including Bramber Bakehouse, Spear Brighton and Conversation Over Borders.

Heading to net zero

The William Alexander team have chosen to offset our carbon emissions through a Sea Kelp Recovery and Management Project, as it perfectly aligns with our values and location.

Selected by Carbon Neutral Britain to help support marine conservation and carbon sequestration off UK shores, the project focuses on enhancing biodiversity, promoting blue carbon habitats, and climate action along more than 40 kilometres of Sussex coastline.
