How we do our bit
At William Alexander, we believe that our business activities should have a net positive impact. That's why giving back is one of the central pillars of our corporate social responsibility (CSR) and business strategy, and sees us taking steps to minimise our environmental impact and support local charities with donations of money, time and expertise.
As a recruitment company, we are especially passionate about giving people who haven’t had the best start in life, a leg up the career ladder through opening up access to skills training.
Charitable donations
We donate a percentage of our profits each year to charities that provide skills training and employment opportunities to people from disadvantaged communities in our home county of Sussex.
Our funding of £90,087 to date has helped initiatives including Bramber Bakehouse, Spear Brighton and Conversation Over Borders.

We Greenify
We partner with Greenify, an environmental consultancy who help us offset the carbon emissions created by running our offices. We can also help you offset the cost of emissions created in recruiting permanent staff members, or hiring contractors. Please ask us for details.
Last year, our subscription contributed to 1,220 trees planted in 6 countries, the recovery of 3 tonnes of ocean-bound plastic waste and 1800 tonnes of CO2 avoided.

Volunteering
Alongside regular bake sales for causes close to our hearts, everyone at William Alexander can use two days per year to volunteer their time and expertise. From mentoring women applying for jobs in technology to packing parcels of essentials for families facing hardship, our big-hearted team regularly step up to the plate.
